I was giving my daughter a bath tonight when at the end of it, she decided to splash me. When I say splash, I mean SPLASH. I was covered with water:-) I told her that if she did it again, Daddy would splash her back. Being my daughter, of course she splashed me right away. I knew I had to splash her back, so with a huge smile on my face, I put both of my hand in the water and splashed her. She started to laugh so hard that all she could do was splash me back again. This went on for a couple of minutes. Yes, we had a splashing fight, and I did not win.
If I am lucky enough to have other people actually read this, I would love to leave this post with two pieces of advice.
1. If you are ever having a bad day, have a splashing fight with your child in the bathtub. You will not know who will have more fun.
2. Make sure you clean it up before MOM sees it. Otherwise I am not to be held responsible for what happens next.

Bedtime Sucker
Bedtime Sucker...that might have to be my new name. Last night my wife and I were downstairs after putting the little one to bed. After about ten minutes, I hear that sweet little voice say, "Daddy, Daddy." I look at my wife and tell her that I'll be back in a minute. When I got up to her room, that sweet little voice tells me that she needs a new book in bed. Innocent enough, until the seventh time that she calls me into her room, and yes I still go in, just to say, "I love you, Daddy!" Does that make me a bedtime Sucker or a Daddy who loves spending that extra couple of minutes with his daughter?
You Decide...

Go Blue
Wow!! The joys of fatherhood. A couple weeks ago my two year old daughter woke up and called me into her room. She looked a me and said, "Daddy, let's go watch football." Talk about breaking my heart. We have a tradition together that we cuddle on the couch every Saturday and watch the University of Michigan football game, hence the "Go Blue," while being wrapped all snug in my Michigan blanket. How do you explain to a two year old that there is no football game today? That will be one moment that I will never forget!
I guess it is true when people say the children remember more than we would ever imagine!!!

First Post
Holy crap, I can't believe I started a blog. It seems like more of a chick (um, excuse me, woman) thing to do, but my wife assures me that there are plenty of other guys doing this. She better be right, because I'm not willing to break a man-law, you know?
Anyway, I love bein' a daddy, and I want to shout it out and share it.
